*Four Elements of  Perfect Semi-Permanent Makeup Effect

What are the Potential RISKs of PMU ?

1. Infection: Infection is a potential risk for any permanent makeup tattoo. "With all of these, we are opening the skin and blood-borne pathogens can be spread, so we want to make sure technicians are using disposable, single-use tools," says Kate. Infection can also occur if you don't follow the proper aftercare, which means keeping the area dry and staying out of the sun for about 10 days. You should also schedule a follow-up appointment after six weeks or so to ensure the skin has healed properly and that you're happy with the results.

2. Shaping: Aside from the medical risks, there's also a chance that you'll be unhappy with the finished work and stuck with a face you don't love for over a year. So the shaping is the most important step of the whole procedure. Research your artist to ensure their work resonates with your personal style. The easiest way to make sure you do not regret your microblading or permanent makeup is a thorough vetting process of the technician who will perform your procedure. We can’t stress enough how important it is, not to rush this process, and to be extremely careful when choosing an establishment and a technician.

3. Pigmentation: Different skin types and colors need to be treated carefully. You may do the PMU before and remain some color, such as blue or red brows.  So choosing the organic pigment to make sure the color is a good fit for you, and to neutralize the color of the existing permanent makeup. A cheap procedure might be cheap because they are using regular tattoo ink and not organic pigments specifically made for permanent makeup, which are easier to remove or alter than regular tattoo ink.

4.Allergic Reactions: You can develop an allergic reaction to nearly anything, but reactions to organic pigments are considered rare. You can ask your technician what sort of pigments they use and how they ensure their clients are not allergic.

Permanent Makeup

How long does the result last?

Generally, eyebrows and lips last up to 1-2 years and eyeliner lasts 2-3 years. Please note that results vary depending on client’s skin types, aftercare and lifestyles (sun exposure, chemical peel).

Each client’s skin will react differently to the pigment. Some skin types retain pigments better than others but on average most clients need a touch up session every 12 months.

Is the procedure painful?

This may vary according to each individual's pain threshold. Most clients feel comfortable during the procedure – you may feel some pressure, pinching or a mild pricking sensation.

The face is a sensitive part of the body

Prior to the procedure a topical anesthetic will be applied to numb the area, and also reapplied during the procedure if necessary. Everyone responds differently to anesthetics, however the pain level for the procedure is considered mild to none. Topical anesthetics used may contain lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine.

After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal. Clients describe the area feeling similar to a light sunburn. Clients can take Tylenol but not aspirin or ibuprofen.

Is it safe?

Allergic reactions to permanent makeup procedures are extremely rare. The cosmetic pigments are medical-grade and manufactured from completely natural ingredients. We use disposable sterile needles and latex-free surgical gloves for every procedure. Hygiene is the most important factor!

Will my eyebrows look "natural?

Yes, your eyebrows will look more natural than your own conventional make-up. Unless you tell somebody you've had the procedure, they'll never know. Our method is either based on "natural-looking" hair strokes for brows or powdered effect.

How does the semi-permanent makeup look immediately after the procedure is done?

Depending on your skin type you may experience minimal redness and swelling. Colors will appear darker and somewhat unnatural for the first few days and then lighten to a more natural look during the following weeks.

Pigment colors can be soft and natural-looking, or a bit bolder and dramatic – we can adjust this to get the perfect look you want. We can deepen the color with additional applications, or lighten the color slightly based on your preferences.

How long does each procedure take?

Procedure time can slightly vary depending on each client’s skin types.

Average procedure time is approximately 2.5 hrs including pre-draw.

How many appointments will be necessary?

5-8 weeks after the initial session, a follow-up visit is required to perfect the initial result. (Follow-up visit is 1hr) Depending on your skin type, the color will fade by 20-50% from the initial session. Follow-ups are highly recommended, 5-8 weeks after the 1st visit. Certain areas may not pick up during the first session and will need to be refilled.

Pigment color may need to be adjusted, brow thickness, and more strokes can be added. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch-up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch-up session is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the whole year.

Can I get my touch-up session sooner than 4 weeks?

Touch-up sessions should not be done earlier than 5 weeks after the initial session as pigment color has not fully settled into the skin. Most importantly, this is to prevent scar damage as the tissue requires time to completely heal.

How much does permanent cosmetic make-up cost?

The average cost for the procedure is based on the procedure time and the technician’s expertise.

Our Prices start from $500 to $600 depends on technique and sessions.

Are Semi-Permanent Makeup truly permanent?

The longevity of semi-permanent makeup really depends on lifestyle, activities, and personal care. UV exposure, usage of medications, excessively dry skin, smoking, can all affect your results. Alpha-hydroxy, Retin-A, glycolic acids must be kept away from treated areas. Usage of these components will cause fading of pigmentation that will require additional maintenance over time. Applying sunscreen on treated areas will greatly prolong the longevity of the procedure.

What happens after a year?

Pigment retention can vary between skin types. Some clients may need a touch-up every 12 months to refresh the color and shape.

If you get cold sores regularly, taking acyclovir or valacyclovir starting one day prior to your micro channeling will reduce the likelihood of a breakout due to your treatment.

  • Discontinue retinol (2% or higher) or tretinoin at least 3 days prior to treatment.

  • For your first treatment, (and treatments at .25mm in general) numbing cream is typically not necessary, and you can expect mild redness and swelling, and a tight, warm sensation for between 4 & 24 hours.

  • If your liver, kidneys, and immune system are healthy, taking an NSAID such as Ibuprofen 2 hours before treatment may reduce any discomfort.

  • Later treatments with longer needle lengths may require topical numbing cream, and can produce redness and swelling along with tiny flecks of redness for between 4 & 72 hours.

  • If you are being treated with PRP or PRF drink an extra 24-32 oz of water for two to three days prior to treatment.

  • If possible, please arrive at the office without makeup on, and with a clean face.

  • If you’ve had Botox, Fillers or Threads injected you must wait at least two weeks before getting micro channeling. And you must be satisfied with the results before we can offer you any other treatments.

Cancellation Policy

We totally understand that life can get a bit unpredictable sometimes. That's why we've put together a friendly reminder about our cancellation policy to help everything run smoothly for everyone. Here's the scoop:

  1. Heads-Up Time: If you need to cancel or change your appointment, just give us a shout at least 24 hours in advance. This gives us enough time to adjust our schedule and maybe even make someone else's day by fitting them in.

  2. Same-Day Heads-Up: We know that last-minute changes can't always be avoided, but if you cancel on the day of your appointment or if we miss seeing your lovely face (aka a no-show), there will be a small $20 fee. This just helps us cover a bit of what we lose in time and resources, which could have been offered to someone else.

  3. How to Let Us Know: Need to make a change? No problem! You can reach out to us via phone, email, or through our website. Just doing it 24 hours before your appointment time helps us a ton.

  4. Special Circumstances: Life throws curveballs, and we get that. If something extraordinary comes up, let us know. We're all about understanding and flexibility, and we might be able to waive the fee on a case-by-case basis.

We're all about keeping things easy and stress-free. Thank you so much for your understanding and for helping us make sure everyone has a chance to enjoy our services. Got any questions or need more info? Just drop us a line. We're here for you!
